NEW YORK – They say diamonds are forever, but this one is “forever.”
One of the brightest pink diamonds ever to hit the market is soon to be auctioned in New York.
The impressive cushion-shaped diamond of 10.57 carats is called “The eternal pinkA Sotheby’s official describes the flawless gem as “the most intensely saturated color” he has ever seen.
It was found in Botswana in 2019 and took six months to reduce by almost 24 carats.
It could fetch more than $35 million when it goes up for auction on June 8.
