three railway lines Metro began the changes on Sunday, which meant the last trains of the night departed earlier to allow testing at the new downtown regional connector.

The changes will affect the Blue, Expo and Gold lines.

The Regional Connector is a 3 km double tunnel under downtown Los Angeles connecting the A (blue), E (Expo) and L (gold) lines to allow passengers to travel to and through downtown with fewer transfers.

Metro will hire 48 new road safety officers to strengthen public safety.

The new times will remain the same once the connector is open, although some changes may be made based on feedback from test operations.

Metro operates an overnight bus service that runs at night on select lines for customers who miss the last trains.

The agency advised transit users to plan their trips using Google Maps, Apple Maps, the Transit app, Moovit or the trip planner on metro.net.
