Eliot Page has become a standard-bearer for trans visibility. Through a statement, the actor said that what draws his attention about the project is the way in which they present with “ingenuity” all the pieces that make up a person’s identity.
“Know what Bassetti closely consulted his trans son during production is very beautiful to me. I think that the lived experience and the contribution are clear in the perspective of the film. I am honored to be on board and can’t wait for everyone to see it,” added the actor, producer and activist.
The film offers an intimate look at gender transition by observing the process of a group of friends in the city of Bologna, in central Italy. Nico, Leo, Andrea and Raff, whose ages range from 20 to 30 years old, begin their gender transition from a female to a male identity at different times in their lives.
