Detectives from the Lakewood Sheriff’s Station are looking for other possible victims of the man charged with sexual assault for assaulting a girl in Bellflower.

Mario Luis Chavez, 42, is accused of approaching a girl outside a store in the 17600 block of Bellflower Boulevard near Ramona Street around 10 p.m. on February 16.

Authorities say the suspect asked the girl where she was going and then forced her into his vehicle, where he allegedly sexually assaulted her.

The car, where the assault took place, is described as a white 2004 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx, detectives said.

Chavez was described as Hispanic, standing 5ft 9in, weighing 200

books, with brown hair and brown eyes.

He has an Aries symbol on his left forearm, an “M” on his right hand, and the phrase “Long Live Them” on a bicep and face tattoo.
