Next March 24 Pablo Rouss will realize a real dream: after two years of work on his first album, Cycleswith which the successful producer (directly responsible for the emergence of the New Wave of urban pop in Spanish) explores his facet as a singer in an album of 17 songs and more than twenty collaborations.
In all these last months we have been able to know a total of 10 singles from the album, where The Navarrese has shared a studio with artists of the stature of Hens, Pole, Belén Aguilera, Álvaro Soler, Marlon, Walls or Soge Culebra. A few hours ago, in addition, he revealed what will be the last single before the release of the album: Lagoonin collaboration with the artist Leo Rizzi.
The artist gave this news via his social networks, sharing a series of photos from the day of the shooting of the video clip, which will be released this Wednesday, March 22, and a fragment of the song. “I want to tell you that I have a gap and none of this, none of this is what it seems. It sounds crazy, but none of this, none of this is the truth” can we hear in the seconds shared by Rouss on Instagram, a refrain in which we could know how the voices of the artists sound separately.
Moreover, in recent days, since the 1940s, we have been able to talk with Rouss about the decision to take the step of also becoming a singer after more than several years of work as a producerwith a career in which his works accumulate more than 800 million listeners and have two Latin Grammy Awards at home for his participation in Red pumps by Sebastien Yatra.
“Yo no tenía plantado arrancar este proyecto hasta dentro de mucho porque estaba muy tranquilo en el mundo de la producción, en un segundo plano. Toda la gente que me conoce lo sabe: yo siempre he ido un poco a mi bola. Lo que pasa is that I had a pretty shitty breakup and it was born for me. I wrote songs for myself one day when I was really fucked up and I did about three or four songs after a long time without writing and from there I was like ‘I have to send all this to someone’. And I sent it to Oscar Hoyos, who’s been following me since I started doing this four or five years ago, and he was like ‘fuck yeah, man, this is real, it’s cool’ and one of these songs I think he just came out The exit there I am late. But that’s when I said “maybe I have something to say at the level of the artist, maybe I have something more to explore in me that doesn’t had not been explored for a long time”. The record came naturally. The “collaborations” on the album came about in a super natural way, there’s nothing forced about it, I really want you to listen to it”.
We are already counting the hours for the departure of Cycles. And you, are you ready for all that Rouss has to offer as a singer?
