It’s been exactly 2 years since the last anime episode of “Re: zero“, the one who was responsible for concluding a second season in which we met characters like Echidna or aspects of Subaru’s ability that, personally, I could not even imagine. After so long, there is already a great desire let the anime come back to set in motion, And if a leak is true, the truth is that in theory ‘Re:Zero’ season 3 should already be in production.
The Re:Zero anime is already warming up to return with its season 3
So I leave you with all the details that have been leaked about it as well as what I might assume:
- To begin with, it must be said that the leak in this case comes from @LoremIpsumVerband not only confirms that season 3 of the anime is in production, but there is also a new video game in development and that the upcoming volume 34 of the light novel will kick off what will be arc 8 of the story.
- Till date, the Re:Zero anime has covered 15 of the light novel’s 33 volumes currently available. As we can see, the truth is that there is plenty of material for the franchise to keep moving forward at the same time it has done so far. Do I mean by that that season 3 will again have +20 episodes? Well obviously I can’t guarantee it, but it doesn’t seem like something to rule out, far from it.
- On the other hand, it is suppose that white fox will be working on Re:Zero’s anime again. While it is true that beyond this franchise, the study is not involved in too many productions, it is no less true that at this stage there is nothing to suggest that they s away from what is surely their most profitable intellectual property.
If I had to bet on the release date of season 3 of “Re:Zero”, I think it should start by saying that it will most likely be officially announced during AnimeJapan 2023 this weekend.. With that in mind, I would see the possibility of the anime premiering in the fall of this same 2023 at the earliest, although I will say with more confidence that we will surely have to wait until 2024.
