A few days ago, Capcom kept its word and released Resident Evil 4 Remake demo that so many people have been waiting for. Right now, any PC and console user (both Xbox and PlayStation) can see for themselves what kind of news this new version of Leon S. Kennedy’s adventure in Spain introduces.
Last week I did an article in which I reflected my impressions after completing the demoyet I didn’t realize it I had missed a great reference to our country. In my defense, I would say that it’s well hiddenbut it’s yet another proof that Capcom takes recreating sets very seriously.
Francisco Franco is in Resident Evil 4 Remake
- As incredible as it may seem, Francisco Franco is in the Resident Evil 4 remake
- The face of this important figure in the history of Spain, who established a dictatorship that lasted several decades, appears in some of the pesetas that cattle drop when they die
- As reported by colleagues Meritif we access photo mode and we zoom in on the rooms it is possible to see their inscriptions
- One of them presents the face of the dictator next to the text: “Franco Caudillo of Spain”
- In other pesetas there is also Mentions to King Juan Carlos I and Alfonso XII “El Pacificador”
Is this Easter egg realistic?
Resident Evil 4 Remake a video game set in Spain in 2004. At that time we had been using the euro for some time, So it’s not an unrealistic detail that the video game includes pesetas as currency?
Well, the truth is that despite this, we are not facing a crazy situation. Several users have pointed out that in many remote towns and villages in our country, the peseta continued to be used for several years. It is therefore plausible that the place where RE4 takes place continues to give as much value to these pieces.
