After taking us on a vampire hunt with the new Redfall footage, Bethesda tells us that the “physical” versions of Arkane Austin’s new co-op shooter won’t come with any discs but only the code to redeem it digitally on PC and Xbox Series X/S.

Regardless of your platform of choice, therefore, none of the retail versions of Redfall will contain the game disc inside. The confirmation comes straight from Bethesda’s official support pages, where it says that “Physical PC copies of Redfall will contain dei codes to use the game on Steam. Retail copies for Xbox consoles will contain gods xbox play anywhere codes which will allow players to play Redfall on Xbox Series X/S and on PC via the Microsoft Xbox app”.

The confirmation of the absence of a disc in the retail packaging of the new Xbox exclusive goes hand in hand with the announcement, by Bethesda, of the obligation to connect to Redfall also for single player, an aspect that “justifies “at least in part the only presence of a code in physical editions of the paranormal shooter Arkane.

Before leaving you to the comments, we remind you that Redfall will be available from 2 maggio on PC and Xbox Series X/S, with immediate entry into the catalog of titles usable “for free” by Xbox and PC Game Pass subscribers.
