NEW YORK — An 18-year-old man was stabbed to death aboard a Brooklyn D train after an argument with another passenger Thursday night, police said.
NYPD officers responded to a 9-1-1 call about a man being stabbed on a northbound train as it entered the Fourth Avenue and Pacific Street station in the middle of Barclays Center at approximately 11 p.m. 30. Authorities found the victim stabbed in the stomach.
He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
According to the initial investigation, the victim argued with an unidentified man on the train. It is not known why they fought, but the argument turned violent and the assailant stabbed the victim with an unknown object. The suspect got off the train upon arrival at the station, walked down the street and fled.
No weapon was recovered. No arrests were made.
The identity of the victim is withheld pending notification of the family.
