A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure (?) to inform you that they were engaging a series of robberies in Japan that they had a particularity: they were all coordinated by someone using the alias ‘Luffy’. Indeed, the protagonist of “A play” happened to be the instrument of a criminal group whose actions had even cost the life of a person. However, it seems that this all comes to an end with the arrest of the aforementioned Luffy.
The fake Luffy coordinated the crimes in Japan from the Philippines
That’s what they reported of the NNA based on the latest news reported from Japan:
- It was during the last week that up to four suspects were forced to return to Japan from the Philippines following the theft plot.
- According to what the authorities learned, at least one of the four suspects used the alias Luffy when he organized the crimes.
- A coincidence that seems impossible is the following: the four suspects returned to Japan in a Boeing 767-300ER registered JA620J. What does this plane have to do with One Piece? so what last summer it was used in a lively collaboration with an airline. The relevant authorities have already said that it was just a coincidence, but what a coincidence.
- of what is known, at least 2 of the 4 suspects already had criminal records for fraud dating back to 2019. To date, there have been several additional arrests in different prefectures across Japan.
Leaving aside the crimes, which are serious enough in themselves, it also strikes me as an offense to “One Piece” the fact that using Luffy’s name as a villain’s name. I think those of us who know the character know full well that his heart goes way beyond getting rich at the cost of hurting the weak. If anything has become abundantly clear in all of this, it’s that despite appearances, the criminals must be anything but “One Piece” fans.
