A man approached a group of men in Northridge on Saturday and opened fire, killing one victim and injuring three others, police said.
The victims were standing near Vanalden Avenue and Parthenia Street around 12:30 p.m. when the shooter arrived and fired several shots, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Tony Im told City News Service.
A Hispanic man in his 60s was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly after, Im said.
A Hispanic man in his 40s was hospitalized in critical condition. The other two victims, also Hispanic men in their 30s and 40s, respectively, were hospitalized in stable condition, Im said.
The shooter fled in the vehicle and was wanted by police on Saturday afternoon. No description of the vehicle was immediately available.
The police also did not immediately find a motive for the attack.
