The story of ‘Conan’ picks up 20 years after the great catastrophe that nearly wiped out life on Earth. Leaving aside the nostalgic value that it can have for many, the important thing in an outing like this is the possibility of recovering material that many already considered lost and of doing it in the best conditions.
As with Dragon Ball, the image of Conan has been restored from the original masters and has reached the high definition regulatory standard that we require in the year 2023 for our purchases.
To celebrate this historic moment, at Selecta Visión they have preferred to opt for an option that will be difficult for many customers and that is that the series, At the moment it will only be released as a collector’s edition that it is not within the reach of all budgets; or, at least, not everyone will want to pay.

We know that sooner or later the simple edition of the series will arrive, the restoration of this material cannot be left to the shelves of a lucky few. But it’s understandable that Selecta wanted to highlight Hayao Miyazaki’s debut as an animation director.
So, an edition is hitting stores that will take the hiccups away from anyone. A package full of “goodies” and extras which will delight any fan and which will force more than one to scratch their pockets without notice.
It all starts with a cardboard box engraved with an image and the title of the series. Inside is a beautiful box that hides a cardboard Conan toy, 10 maxi postcards, a poster, a 100-page book with information and sketches of the series, a double vinyl with the original soundtrack and two ‘ Digistack’ with the series on Bluray and DVD, in 4:3 format and also in 16:9 format in the case of high definition discs.
Everything in this edition smacks of luxury, love and care. Material made by fans for fans. And, yes, we know it’s not easy dropping $149.90 for a 26-episode series, but it happened with Evangelion and it rightly happens again with Future Child Conan.
