Today, new information emerged about the shooting last Friday that left one dead and another injured.
It happened at the intersection of 7th Street and Ocean Drive, when the police arrived on the scene, they found an injured man and a second subject who told them: it was me, and s’ is turned over to the authorities. The second victim was found a few minutes later.
The alleged shooter said someone had targeted him and he had no choice but to defend himself. The victim who died in hospital had multiple injuries to his chest and abdomen.
On the other hand, today they filed a lawsuit against the city of Miami Beach, for the closure of a liquor store. After the municipal commission decided to suspend the sale of alcohol from six o’clock in the afternoon in this type of business.
Jennifer Pratt, a lawyer representing the plaintiff, questions why liquor stores are the only businesses to close.
And this is one of the points included in the lawsuit against the city.
The business owner who filed the lawsuit told us that, in his case, the losses would exceed $200,000.
So far, the city has not commented on the lawsuit, which was filed in court on Wednesday afternoon.
