If there’s anything that’s more than evident within The Last of Us gaming community, it’s that we’re looking forward to a new installment after what we experienced in Part II. For my part, it is something that, in relation to the future, I am very clear that it will happen, but very in the future, I do not see it or imagine it at all in 3 or 4 years.
But Neil Druckmann has said something about it, because there are a lot of questions around The Last of Us Part III. And it was said through a broadcast at Fan Fest 2023where of course they made him aware of the great interest of the third part of the game. Neil Druckmann himself took it upon himself to make it known that the development of The Last of Us III is not something that he has in mind.
These are the reasons for the NO development of The Last of Us Part III
- Neil Druckmann confirmed that Naughty Dog doesn’t develop something they aren’t passionate about Really.
- The Last of Us Part III will not be developedUnless they have a really good, compelling story, stick to the script.
- That said, and today, the story ended in The Last of Us Part II.
Although Neil Druckmann has ruled out development of The Last of Us Part III, the saga will continue to receive content through the next The Last of Us Factions IIwhich is currently being developed by Naughty Dog.
The saga currently has a remake version of The Last of Us Part I for PlayStation 5 and with its planned release for PC on March 28, 2023 via Steam. On the other hand, we can also enjoy the series on HBO, which was directed by Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin and which, a few weeks ago, was renewed for a second season.
