A Carson mother is going through a nightmare after her 16-year-old daughter goes missing.
Her daughter left home in January, but a few weeks later received a phone call that made her fear she was being held against her will.
Two months have passed since the teenager left home. Her mother says she didn’t have many friends, didn’t go to parties, and wasn’t one to date.
Alinka Avila left her home in Carson on the morning of January 1 without any identification, without her credit card and without a change of clothes.
Since he left, his cell phone has remained offline and his social media accounts have also been deactivated.
“Please help me find my daughter before it’s too late, please,” said Marciela Ávila, her mother.
Her mother says she didn’t hang out with many friends, but she met a young man two days before she disappeared.
“We thought he left with someone, but we don’t know,” Marciela said.
Shortly after Alinka left, the family received a phone call that was traced to the Venice area.
“She said ‘they got me and they won’t let me go,'” Marciela said. “Everything has changed since then, for everyone.”
The family posted thousands of posters with Alinka’s photo in the hope that someone had seen her or knew something.
“Every time I give someone a flyer, I ask God to help me find my daughter,” Marciela says. “I want them to know I won’t rest until I get her. not brought back here with me.”
Detectives from the Carson Sheriff’s Department are investigating this case as an at-risk youth.
“My heart hurts, but I think they make her work as a prostitute, I think,” Marciela said.
Authorities cannot confirm whether the girl is a victim of sex trafficking. For now, they’re asking for clues to his whereabouts.
Alinka called her family twice and once asked them to pick her up near Union Station, but she never showed up. When the family tried to call back the numbers, they no longer exist.
Anyone with information on Alinka’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Carson Sheriff’s Department.
