The European tour of Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band kicked off last night in Barcelona. He did it in style at the Olympic Stadium of the Lluis Company, where the privileged with a ticket could experience almost three hours of live rock and roll from the Boss, who gave his all for everything.
However, there was one song from the repertoire that had a particular surprise. Or rather, several surprises. Because if seeing Springsteen, Spielberg and Obama having dinner together in Barcelona seemed like real madness worthy of a simulation, what happened at the concert went even further.
When it was the turn to interpret glory day, Bruce surrounded himself with three unique showgirls: Michelle Obama, Kate Capshaw and Patti Scialfa. The former first lady of the United States, the actress and the singer, respectively, took the stage, tambourine in hand, to accompany the soloist, who played the song on guitar. The three women, around a microphone stand, dared to do the chorus of the song, becoming for a brief moment the real protagonists of the event.
The former President of the United States, for his part, stayed behind the scenes to dance, sing and enjoy the recital given by his good friend Springsteen and his wife. And, according to the EFE news agency, Obama had already left Catalonia to attend a series of conferences in Zurich.
After Spain, The Boss and The E Street Band will visit — over the next three months (May, June and July) — various cities in Ireland, France, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Amsterdam and Denmark.
