Orlando Florida. – Some 7.3 million passengers will land at Orlando International Airport (MCO) over spring break.

The 46-day travel window, which runs until April 18, is the busiest season of the year, according to airport authorities.

The number of passengers represents an increase of 13% compared to last year, or nearly one million more.

Based on traffic numbers ahead of Spring Break, the MCO is on course anytime during that window to set an all-time daily record for Orlando’s international ridership over a 24-hour period.

The current MCO daily travel record is 90,804 departures set in March 2019, just before the pandemic began. However, records have recently dropped and four of the ten busiest days in the airport’s history were set in February this year.

The second busiest day in MCO history was set last weekend with 89,863 starts.
