A collision between a freight train and a vehicle in a Hollywood neighborhood led to an intense mobilization of police and emergency vehicles this morning, while a major highway remained closed.
The crash happened just before 4 a.m. in the westbound lane area of Pembroke Road, very close to the I-95 freeway exit ramp. Hollywood and Pembroke Park police were in the area.
The car had severe damage, but so far police have not reported any injuries or other details of the accident.
Drivers are asked to avoid the Pembroke Road area early in the morning while the investigation is carried out. The Tri-Rail line said its trains were experiencing delays and announced it would make buses available to the public from stations in Golden Glades to Hollywood.
