MARION COUNTY, Florida. – According to Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods, a teenage girl will be disconnected from her vital machinery by her family after she was found with a gunshot wound on the side of SE 183 Avenue Road in Forest Lakes Park.
Layla Silvernail, 16, is in an area hospital in critical condition on a ventilator.
Authorities have yet to report any suspects and are collecting information they obtained from the young woman’s car which was found submerged in a body of water.
They find two other murdered teenagers; they suspect the deaths are linked to the case of Layla Silvernail
Amid the investigation into Layla’s case, authorities found two young men dead in Forest Lakes Park.
The victims were not identified by Sheriff Marion. However, he revealed that they were a 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old female.
The youth’s body was found dumped on the side of SE 94th Street and SE 188th Street. He was also shot and wounded.
While the other young woman was found inside Layla’s car after authorities obtained a search warrant. The third victim was also found with a gunshot wound.
“We are devastated for the families of these three teenagers, and we are committed to bringing to justice whoever is responsible for these heinous acts,” he told the sheriff during a live stream on his Facebook page.
