NEW YORK – A raging fire was reported at a private Staten Island home on Friday afternoon, the New York Fire Department said.
The fire had already reached 4 alarms at 1:26 p.m. at the residence located at 88 Avenue Showtwell and spread to other homes, the FDNY added. The back of the structure collapsed, according to reports.
According to FDNY sources, three firefighters were injured, one of whom was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The condition of the other two is unknown.
