The people concerned with the building facing the sea. They have been taking their things out for a few hours.
After being told they only had a few days to move.
Some 55 people are affected. The building was declared unsafe.
The “Majestic Isle Condominium” building
Located at 7946 Eastdrive in North Bay Village. Did not pass 60 year recertification.
There are serious security issues. Sagging floors and termite damage. Also, due to the rains last week. There was a partial roof collapse.
Thursday evening. Residents, many of whom were occupants of the units, were ordered to evacuate the property. Before 10 a.m. next Tuesday, April 25.

Here, solutions are sought. But among the owners of the units in the building, there seems to be frustration.
Cesar Santana, owner of an apartment in the affected building, said:
“I want to believe that what is done for the safety of the residents.”
Santana told us this afternoon that he owns one of the units in the building and has resided there for over two decades. According to him, he has been selling his property since last year.
