Elon Musk has a plan and it seems no one can stop him. Since October 2022, the business magnate acquired Twitter with the intention of reforming the company and making it an entity, above all profitable, Musk has been constantly making the most diverse changes in the company. And that’s it, the boss of Tesla did not tremble in any of the areas.
He fired a slew of staff, temporarily changed the iconic blue bird logo to the Dogecoin cryptocurrency dog, publicly debated with an employee who was unsure if he was still on the list payroll and, among many other things, the last thing he did was, according to the world’s business press, legally change the company name from Twitter Inc to X Corp.
The purchase of Twitter is an accelerator to create X, the application of everything
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) October 4, 2022
Although for the moment the social network retains its original name, everything indicates that the rebranding of its parent company is a step closer to the ‘super app’ that the CEO of the current X Corp has assured on several occasions that he wants to create from the base which is already established thanks to Twitter and which it intends to baptize as X, letter for which he has a particular predilection. Actually, X is precisely the first name he gave to his last son which he affectionately calls only X although in is recorded as X Æ A-12 and a key part of the “naming” of its Space X rocket-building company.
In fact, already in 2022, Musk warned that the purchase of Twitter was in response to the desire to create a gigantic application from which one could do everything an Internet user could imagine. Something that seems to be getting closer and which, judging by the tycoon’s latest tweets, fills him with satisfaction.
