The North Las Vegas Police Department is investigating the crash after a driver rammed his truck into a palm tree at Cheyenne and Civic Center streets.
According to the police statement, the incident was reported at around 3:08 p.m. and when officers arrived at the scene, they found a black van atop a palm tree on the outskirts of a busy shopping mall.
Preliminary investigation reveals the van was traveling south on Civic Center and attempted to turn right onto Cheyenne Street when it lost control and crashed into the palm tree.
The driver was not injured, however, he showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol, for which he was arrested.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported during this incident.
