Up to 25 people have been displaced by a fire that broke out Sunday morning at a residential building in East Hollywood, authorities said.
At least 30 firefighters arrived to put out the blaze at the two-story building in the 5200 block of Sunset Boulevard, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The fire was reported at 2:33 a.m. with flames on both floors.
Several of the 60 tenants were tested for possible smoke exposure, but none were hospitalized, Humphrey said.
Displaced tenants will be assisted by the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
