The circle narrows to resolve the disappearance of the 35-year-old Esther López from Traspinedo, in Valladolid, on January 12 when he met several friends to watch a football match in a bar.

According to the Government Delegation, the Civil Guard has arrested a man for the disappearance of Esther López. The location of the man and subsequent detection occurred on Saturday night, without his identity or relationship with the case having been disclosed at the moment.

The Civil Guard maintains absolute silence for now on the investigation, has only reported the first arrest of a man for his relationship with the investigation while keeping all hypotheses open.

The Search Area

For several days, the statements of the last witnesses who saw her (her friends), although with apparent contradictions, suggested that one of them left her near the intersection of La Maña, on the edge of the Soria road.

According to that testimony, Esther’s intention was to go to Valladolid. Initially it was ruled out that he did so and his search has focused in recent days in that environment, both from friends and the bars where he was the night of January 12 to 13.

Civil Guard Elite Unit

Since yesterday, agents from the Central Operative Unit (UCO) of Madrid, the elite group of the Civil Guard in matters of investigation, have joined the efforts of the members of the Judicial Police of Valladolid.

Neighborhood raids continue to be carried out by the La Maña bar-restaurant and the Puente Hinojo recreational area, where López’s telephone ceased to be operational. Specialized dogs have not found anything, and now the search area has been extended to include the Duero River and the canal near the town.
