Fraud alerts are numerous on the networks. They expose people who pose as sponsors and steal money from those who want to be sponsored and live in the United States.
For Cubans, Venezuelans, Nicaraguans, and Haitians aspiring to get an effective sponsor, there is a call that can be a considerable option.
The initiative aims to offer a sponsor to those who do not have one in these countries, although there is no guarantee that participation will turn into an immediate financial support solution.
The charity welcome.us explained what the process would look like:
Interested parties should access the Welcome Connect platform from their respective countries or a third country, but not from the United States. Only sponsors can enter from US territory.
Participants should take into account that the process offers limited places and, once exhausted, they will have to wait until April 15 for another opportunity for economic benefit.
However, sponsors can register at any time via Welcome Connect. The organization urges all businessmen, private groups, civic organizations and in general people with sufficient financial resources to join the initiative.
Since then, more than 130,000 people have registered with Welcome.US as refugee sponsors, enabling some 58,000 Afghans and Ukrainians to receive basic financial support to adjust to a new life in the United States. .
This Wednesday, the platform crashed at the time of its opening, when thousands of people entered in search of a sponsor who would allow them to legally reach the United States.
