The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) is investigating a shooting that left one dead and another injured.
The incidents were reported to police Tuesday afternoon in the 5300 block of Boulder Hwy after reports of a shooting at an apartment complex were received.
Upon arrival, the officers went up to an apartment where they spotted a child who had been shot.
The boy was taken to Sunrise Hospital, where he died of his injuries.
LVMPD said the boy was inside his home with his parents and another sibling when a shot went through the wall of the next apartment and hit the boy.
The other miner also received a kick in the leg, but it was not life threatening.
Police said both children were under 10 years old.
At this time, no suspect is in custody.
