If you’re already thinking about your next tattoo, this article is for you. Don’t worry, you’re not alone. In fact, it’s becoming increasingly common, even among artists.

It’s likely that your favorite singer has ink on their skin with a special message (or not), which has been analyzed by their millions of fans. But how would you feel if I told you that there is a list of celebrities who have inspired people to get tattoos?

The ranking, prepared by Preply, is led by Ariana Grande, whose tattoos accumulate the most searches on Google. That means many people are inspired by the messages and numbers she wears on her skin, and make them their own. Ariana has more than 50 tattoos, and accumulates over 1.3 million searches per year. So, her tattoos may be on other people’s bodies too.

This data isn’t surprising considering that in 2019, an error in one of the singer’s tattoos went viral all over the world. It was made to honor her album “7 Rings,” and she wanted to tattoo it in Japanese, but the translation was wrong. The word that was read was “Shichirin,” which actually means “little BBQ,” not the title of her album.

But that’s not all. The list goes on, with Harry Styles and Justin Bieber having over a million searches each. Rihanna, Pete Davidson, Jimin from BTS, Angelina Jolie, Ben Affleck, Shia Labeouf, and Johnny Depp are the rest of the celebrities who occupy the top 10 of this list.

Other interesting facts

This study prepared by Preply also shows us that the United States is the country in the world where the most people regret their tattoos. Every year, over a million searches are made on Google to remove them. In Spain, Madrid is the city where most people regret their tattoos.

Which tattoos are the most popular? By type, those with a name are the most popular, taking into account the 298,000 posts on Instagram and the 2.6 million annual searches on Google. Japanese is the favorite language, while Persian is the most popular due to its growing demand over the past year. Global demand increased by 312% compared to the previous year.

Do you have tattoos? Do you agree with this data?
