An elderly woman had to be rushed to hospital after she was hit on a street in northwest Miami by a getaway driver, authorities said.
Miami police said the incident happened early Wednesday morning at an intersection near 17th Avenue and 60th Street in northwest Miami.
The woman, who has not been identified, was taken to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital with a possible hip injury.
No details of the car or the suspected driver were immediately reported, but Miami Police Officer Freddie Cruz said it could be a blue Toyota.
“That can tell you that the woman is in critical but stable condition,” Cruz added.
