A wildfire was reported Wednesday in a remote part of the mountains in San Bernardino County.

The Knob Fire was burning north of Lytle Creek and south of Wrightwood in the San Gabriel Mountains, about 15 miles northwest of San Bernardino.

So far there has been no reported structures threatened by fire at Cajon Pass. Smoke was visible from Highway 15.

No injuries were reported.

Temperatures in the area were in the low 70s Fahrenhei with calm wind conditions.

So far this year, Cal Fire has responded to 505 wildfires after a historic rainy season. By this time last year, state firefighters had responded to 1,407 wildfires in much drier conditions.
