It’s fair to say that we haven’t really been wowed by Xbox’s search function in recent years, and it looks like Microsoft hasn’t either, as a new search page has started rolling out to Xbox consoles today. today.

Launched for a subset of users (and more to follow), this new search page includes gallery-style results, visible filter categories, a handy YouTube feature for movies and TV shows, and more Again.

Here’s how Xbox’s Major Nelson describes it:

Starting rolling out to a subset of Xbox consoles today, you’ll be able to experience an update to the console’s search page. This includes a sleek new look, gallery-style results, RB/LB visible filter categories, the option to “search YouTube” in the Movies & TV tab, and more.

Hopefully, this will prove to be a huge improvement over the previous search function, which sometimes made it difficult to find exactly what you were looking for. The Xbox app on Android and iOS has also suffered from this issue for the past few years, although Microsoft made efforts to improve the search functionality on those platforms last September.

If you’re lucky enough to have access to this feature from day one, let us know what you think!
