If you wanted to try WoW Dragonflight for free, you can now, but you’ll need to act fast, as Blizzard isn’t offering the option for long. Dragonflight, the latest expansion for one of the most influential MMORPGs of all time, takes players to the Dragon Islands of World of Warcraft and introduces the new Dracthyr race, along with its unique Evoker class and an enchanting Dragonriding feature that will give you lets fly on your own scaly mount.
Blizzard notes that “all players with an inactive WoW account will receive trial access to Dragonflight,” making this a great time to dive back in if you’ve been disconnected from the game for the past few years and wondering if Dragonflight is the right time to come back. . On top of that, Blizzard says, “If you’re not level 60, check out the Battlenet Launcher app, there might be a treat for you!” Unfortunately, WoW Classic subscriptions are not included in this offer.
However, those of you who want to try this will need to act quickly. WoW Dragonflight Free Trial is now available and ends March 12 at 11:59 AM PDT (Note that US clocks have been moved to daylight saving time starting March 12.) Converting this to other time zones, the trial ends March 13 at 3:00 a.m. EDT / 7:00 a.m. GMT / 8:00 a.m. CET / 6:00 p.m. AET in other regions.
This means you don’t have a lot of time to see what’s on offer and you’ll need an active subscription or game time on your account to continue playing afterwards. You’ll be able to progress through the main campaign all the way to the “Charge of Care” quest in Waking Shores, and while your character won’t go above level 60 during the free trial, all experience gained during the free period will be saved. and granted to your character if you upgrade.
