The premiere of Honkai: Star Rail is getting closer. Recently, the developers announced that there will be no more playtesting. There is no official release date yet, but it’s probably sometime this year. As the release nears, more and more gamers are starting to wonder what the game is. Honkai Star Rail History
The first thing you need to know is that Honkai Star Rail is created by miHoYo. It is a Chinese studio, which also developed Genshin Impact. So you can expect a similar graphical style.
However, Honkai Star Rail is not the first game in the series. There are four games (more or less related) that can be included in the honkai universe. All created by the same developer:
- FlyMe2theMoon (2011, iOS) – a platform game;
- Houkai Gakuen 2 (2014, Androids, iOS) – also known as Guns Girl Z, HSoD The end of School or Zombiegal Kawaii; It is the first online game from the miHoYo studio;
- Honkai Impact 3rd (2016, Android, iOS, PC) – Spiritual successor to Houkai Gakuen 2;

Honkai Star Rail History

Honkai Star Rail is a very loose Sequel to Honkai Impact 3rd. The two games are linked, for example, by the character Welt Yang. The plot of the last part of the series takes place in the parallel universe to that of the previous part.
The story focuses on Trailblazer, who is an artificial humanoid.. The protagonist is implanted with a mysterious artifact, which gives them great power. After this event, these are rescues performed by Astral Express crew members. It is a spaceship similar to a train.
After some fighting and adventures, Trailblazer joins the crew to learn more about the artifact called Stellaron and its origin.
Honkai Star Rail game, Gacha mechanics and PvP
It may come as a surprise to some, but Honkai Star Rain is not an aRPG. It’s a tactical RPG.. Players can control a team of up to 4 characters, which can attack and use special abilities in sequence. However, between battles, the protagonists experience the world as a single TPP camera avatar.
Honkai Star Rail includes to the elements. This means that if you want to collect all the characters and weapon equivalents (Light Cones), you will have to play a game of chance with this title and you very well risk losing. If you want to unlock all heroes and heroines, most likely you will have to pay real money..
However, there is no official information about the PvP system in the game. So you may not need to buy characters to compete with other players. However, remember that it’s quite easy to implement PvP in tactical games, so keep that in mind.
