While the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority is more than concerned about Microsoft’s expected $68.7 billion takeover of Activision Blizzard which has stalled the deal in the country, which also seems to be worrying EU competition bodies and US law, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has much less objection to this.
As VGC reported, the regulator said it had no concerns that the transaction would reduce competition in the gaming industry and approved the acquisition.
Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Chile, South Africa, Japan and Serbia are the countries that are looking favorably on the takeover, and some of their regulators spoke out shortly after its announcement.
