CD Projekt Red has announced more upcoming patches for The Witcher 3. The changes will focus on game performance.

The Witcher 3 recently received a pretty big update with issue 4.01. Fixed some bugs related to specific tasks and improved game performance. During, CD Projekt Red continues to work on fixes and is preparing another patch, which could be coming to The Witcher 3 in the near future.

It should fix the issues that players are having after the 4.01 update, mostly related to performance. You can read the upcoming patches for The Witcher 3 below. The full list of changes CD Projekt is currently working on can be found here.

  1. Overall performance and game stability will be improved (this refers to the new version of The Witcher 3 in DirectX 12 mode).
  2. Fixed issue with Performance mode frame rate dropping on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
  3. Graphical defects (related to shadows and lighting) will be corrected.
  4. Mission “Combat Preparations”: patch 4.01 fixed a bug, due to which it might not be possible to interact with Avallac’h; After the update, some players do not see dialog options to progress the task; it will be corrected.

Additionally, the team is still working on the issue related to the sudden game crash and other changes. We don’t know exactly when the aforementioned fixes will arrive in The Witcher 3. According to CD Projekt, it will happen in the “next few days”.
