Riot Games is stepping ahead and has now revealed the host cities, locations and dates for the 2023 League of Legends World Championship. As revealed in a new blog post, the dates, locations and cities can be announced below. below:
- Play-In Stage – October 10-15 at Seoul’s LoL Park
- Swiss Scene – October 19-23 and October 26-29 at KBS Arena in Seoul
- Playoffs – Quarter-finals Nov. 2-5 and Semi-finals Nov. 11-12 at Sajik Indoor Gymnasium in Busan
- World Finals – November 19 at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul
As for why the Global Finals should take place later than expected, it’s because League of Legends is a medal-winning sport at the 19th Asian Games, and Riot wants to support this tournament.
Otherwise, tickets for the annual tournament will start going on sale in July, with Play-In Stage tickets on July 10, Swiss Stage tickets on July 19, and Knockout and World Final tickets scheduled for August 2.
