speculation on Takeover of Sony PlayStation are making the rounds again as news broke the company has just over $5 billion left for acquisitions through 2024. Sony Group had set 2 trillion yen for this purpose in 2020, at spend over three years. .
The money isn’t just for Sony PlayStation acquisitions
It all started with a Morgan Stanley conference late last month with Sony CFO Hiroki Totoki. As ResetEra discovered, Totoki was asked about the 2 trillion yen the company had set aside for acquisitions, revealing that 1.3 trillion yen had been spent by the end of 2022. That leaves 0.7 trillion yen (about $5.1 billion) for acquisitions over the next year.
Here’s the catch: the funds Totoki is referring to aren’t just for PlayStation acquisitions. They concern the entire Sony group. In other words, while it’s fun to speculate, it’s not set in stone that Sony will spend whatever it has left to buy game studios.
Either way, this Take-Two Interactive rumor is definitely nonsense, so we can safely dismiss it.
everything was said, And Sony ends up buying game studios, and he said he would, which one do you think he should choose?
