Ever savvy ResetEra users have realized that Sony has raised its prices of some of their games released on Steam.
Canada is one of the regions where this has happened and prices have gone from $69.99 to $79.99, and some countries (like Argentina, which is probably related to their skyrocketing inflation) will see a further increase in elderly people. At this time, Sony has not commented on the reasons for making this move, so we don’t know if other countries will be added or if PlayStation itself will also be affected.
Sony was also the first console maker of this generation to raise the prices of its games (at the start of the generation) and its hardware (last year). Over time, it was followed by Microsoft and, to some extent, Nintendo with a ten euro increase in the base price of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
We will expand this news if new changes are announced in other territories, such as Spain.
