One Piece Odyssey proved to be a heartfelt love letter to fans of the popular manga anime when it released in January this year, despite gameplay that didn’t do its great story justice. Now, Bandai Namco has announced the first major downloadable content for the game: Reunion of memories.
Reunion of Memories takes us back to Memoria, an island made entirely of memories, where we’ll encounter familiar enemies from Eiichiro Oda’s work, as well as characters from the original game who have been given a power-up. .
The producer Katsuaki Tsuzuki gave more details about the DLC, saying that the story this time around will “focus more on battles”.
“We have prepared many battles that require a more tactical approach, as well as special conditions to win, so you can expect to find a new type of challenge… There will be new characters that were not included in the main game. Of course not. We’ll do spoilers for all of them, so you might be surprised to find other characters where you least expect them!”
