It looks like in the debacle of the past few weeks at Respawn, some of its developers have decided to take flight together and have formed a new studio known as wild entertainment.
Among those who left Respawn to help form Wildlight is former Apex Legends game director Chad Grenier. Grenier also has plenty of experience with both versions of Titanfall and even worked on the Modern Warfare series before Respawn parted ways with Infinity Ward.
Mohammad Alavi, who was working on an abandoned Titanfall 3 campaign, is also now part of Wildlight after leaving Respawn last year. Wildlight Entertainment’s first game will be a shooter based on a new IP.
They didn’t give us much more information, but from the company’s website, it looks like the Wildlight team is very excited to show off what they’ve been working on. “We are a new, fully-funded entertainment studio hyper-focused on creating big, bold, and original game universes of epic quality and scale,” reads a statement on the website.
Although shooters are a saturated market, with the Wildlight team demonstrating immense experience in the genre, we can’t help but be a little eager to see what they have up their sleeves.
