the psn is down in various regions, including the United States at present. PlayStation Network services appear to be partially affected on PS4 and PS5.
Sony’s network status page confirms PSN is down
As of this writing, the PlayStation Network status page says PS Store, PS Direct, and Gaming and Social services are down on all Sony platforms.
“You may be having difficulty launching games, applications or network features,” reads a notice on PlayStation’s official website. “We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.”
Regarding the PS Store, Sony said players may have trouble performing the following actions:
- Purchase
- Download
- To browse
- Seek
- redeem vouchers
PS Video and account management services are not affected at this time.
The outage started about an hour ago and it is unclear when it will be fixed. If you are having trouble playing single-player games, we suggest temporarily disconnecting your console from the internet if the game does not require an online connection to play.
