A major Australian retailer caused a stir by listing ps5 slim on your website. A slimmer version of the console with a removable disk drive has been rumored for some time, leading fans to believe an announcement is imminent.
Retailer’s PS5 slim listing is a mistake
The retailer in question is The Good Guys, which sells consumer electronics in Australia. The listing says:
“The new slimmer PlayStation 5: Incredibly bright and vibrant colors with stunning HDR visuals and immersion whether you’re gaming or streaming movies and TV shows.”
As ResetEra user TiredOldHack pointed out, the text above originally appeared on the website when the PS4 Slim was introduced. Someone reused the old text and changed “PlayStation 4″ to PlayStation 5.” Also, the PS5 Slim listing has been on the website since January 2021, but it went unnoticed as users are redirected to another page to buy the console, it’s just an unused page that hasn’t been checked out.
