Pokémon GO: December Community Day brings back Pokémon from the 2020s and 2021s

Like every month, Pokémon GO is organizing a Community Day. This month, instead of focusing on a particular Pokémon, Niantic’s game brings together all the featured Pokémon from Community Days 2021, as well as those from the year 2020! We will give you the details below:

This month, Pokémon GO Community Day will take place on Saturday, December 18, 2021 and Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (local time).. Pokémon featured in Community Days in 2021 will spawn more frequently in the wild, while the star Pokémon of the Community Days of the year 2020 can be encountered in two ways: in raids, and in eggs. So this is a real opportunity for players who have missed some of these Pokémon!

The last Community Day of the year will have a lot of interesting bonuses. For example, Incense and Lure Modules activated during the event will last 3 hours instead of the usual 30 minutes. Players will get 2x XP and Stardust when they capture Pokémon, and the hatching distance of the eggs will be divided by 2 if they are placed in a Incubator during the event.

In addition to these bonuses, players will be entitled to 1 additional special exchange per day as well as 25% reduction in Stardust cost of trade between the Friday December 17, 2021 at 1 p.m. and Sunday December 19, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. (local time).

To promote the preparation of players for the event, the maximum expansion capacity of Pokémon storage and item bag will be increased starting Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 10 p.m. local time. Pokémon storage expansion cap will increase from 5000 to 5500 and the extension cap of the item bag of 4000 to 4500. These extensions will be available in the Store.

Between Friday December 17, 2021 at 7 p.m. and Monday December 20, 2021 at 7 p.m. (local time), a Special Community Day Box will be available as a one-time purchase in the Boutique for 1280 PokéCoins. It contains 50 Hyper Balls, 6 Star Pieces, 1 TC Elite Instant Attack, and 1 TC Elite Charged Attack.

During this Community Day, Featured Pokémon from previous Community Days will spawn more often in the wild. They will also be attracted to Incense and by the Lures no matter the day.

You will be able to meet the following Pokémon in nature, and with a bit of luck, you might stumble upon their chromatic shapes :

Note that if you catch an Eevee during the event, it will know the charged attack Last resort.

From Friday December 17, 2021 at 7 p.m. to Monday December 20, 2021 at 7 p.m. (local time), you will be able to evolve your Pokémon and get the following exclusive attacks:

Community Day in December will give you access to a new Special Study Scenario. As a reminder, Special Studies are paid and time-limited events that can allow you to meet specific Pokémon related to the event without geographic restriction.

You can access this new Special Study Scenario by purchasing a ticket for US $ 1 (approximately 89 cents). Note that this particular study will not include a medal.

A one-off study will be available from Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 11 a.m. to Monday, December 20, 2021 at 10 a.m. (local time). It will put in the spotlight all the featured Pokémon from Community Days in 2020 and 2021.
