The end of the year is coming very quickly and today we are entering winter. You know that. But you also know that everyone has their own video game rewards and that the industry is no exception either. Sony has indeed just unveiled its prices in various categories, obviously limited to the title released on its consoles.
Like every year, Sony PlayStation calls on its community to award a certain number of prizes. For the 2021 edition, Sony announces a record participation and fairly tight votes in several categories. In total, 16 prizes were awarded, with new categories such as the best reissue or the best use of the DualSense controller.
Who are the big winners elected by PlayStation players?
The first prize awarded by Sony PlayStation is that of best new character, which was presented to Resident Evil Village for Lady Dimitrescu, the immense person whom players quickly meet on the adventure and whose figure quickly became famous.
She is ahead of Rivet from Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Tenzo from Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, and Alex Chen from Life is Strange: True Colors. For the category of best scenario, we find once again Resident Evil Village, which wins ahead of Life is Strange True Colors, Guardians of the Galaxy and Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart.
This last also collects the prizes for the best artistic direction, the best use of the DualSense controller as well as the best graphics.
Without surprise, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy walks away with best soundtrack, in front of Ghost of Tsushima (Iki Island Extension), which itches in passing the price of accessibility and the best reissue, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139.
It Takes Two, developed by Hazelight Studios, winner of the game of the year at the Game Awards, has not been forgotten and it wins the category of best multiplayer experience.
The best price sport game was awarded to FIFA 22, while the indie game price goes to Kena: Bridge of Spirits, and that the VR Game of the Year award goes to Hitman 3. Sony PlayStation concludes its award show by giving two game of the year awards, one for the PS4, the other for the PS5.
On PS4, it’s Resident Evil Village who wins, while sur PS5, c’est Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, developed by Insomniac, who takes home the trophy. The studio is from elsewhere awarded the studio of the year award, while its Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, announced a few months ago, is the most anticipated title in “2022 and beyond”.
