It looks like a PlayStation de mano It is actually under construction. Two well-known experts have corroborated its existence, and now we have more details in a new report from none other than Insider Gaming trusty Tom Henderson.

The PlayStation handheld would be a remote play device

According to journalist and insider Jeff Grubb, he heard noises coming from a cloud gaming device. However, Henderson’s report denies this. He claims the handheld is a remote play device that requires a PS5.

Codenamed Q Lite, the handheld will support adaptive streaming up to 1080p and 60fps, and you’ll need to be connected to the internet at all times to work. Henderson further claims to have seen prototypes of the Q Lite, which apparently resembles the PS5’s DualSense controller but with an eight-inch LCD touchscreen in the middle.

Insider Gaming has also heard that the Q Lite is currently undergoing quality assurance testing and doubled down on the claim that it will launch before the PS5 Pro and PS5 with a removable drive. If the PS5 Pro reports pointing to a 2024 holiday release are true, then maybe that means the Q Lite could launch anywhere between the end of this year and mid-2024.
