The Outer Worlds PS5 not gone well. The Spacer’s Choice Edition, which is available on all current-gen consoles and PCs, is apparently so sold out that players are asking for refunds. Game performance issues affect all platforms.
Obsidian Entertainment apologized for The Outer Worlds PS5 issues
The Outer Worlds subreddit is full of threads complaining about Spacer’s Choice Edition, with many players demanding refunds. The Publishers Private Division support team responded to some ticket submissions, promising players that their complaints had been forwarded to the development studio.
On Twitter, developer Obsidian Entertainment responded to fans, apologizing for the issues.
I’m so sorry you feel like this, it’s not our intention, as we want everyone to have the best experience when visiting Halcyon Colony. We have people working on fixes to reported issues, so once we have more information, we’ll share it.

Speaking specifically of the PS5, The Outer Worlds suffers from severe stuttering, among a host of other serious issues. Using performance mode causes the game’s frame rate to fluctuate so much that it’s nearly unplayable.
It’s unclear whether Sony or Private Division will offer refunds. We will let our readers know when a fix is released.
