Nintendo has a sleek new website thanks to a new partnership.
In November 2022, Nintendo announced that it would partner with mobile games studio DeNA. The fruits of this partnership have now matured, and the result is a new website for Nintendo called “Nintendo Systems (opens in a new tab)”, which looks really great.
The website has a great retro vibe, as menus run in shortcode near the left edge of the screen, and a main homepage takes up the rest of the screen. It all sounds like something that would be used by the Nostromo crew in Alien, though it would have to be much darker and darker for this comparison to really hit the mark.
It’s not just a website collaboration between the two, it’s actually a whole new venture. Nintendo Systems is the name on the front page of the website, and it is also the name of the company, which will (in some ways) facilitate the delivery of Nintendo products to its customers around the world.
When the partnership between Nintendo and DeNA (opens in a new tab) was first announced last year, the Nintendo Systems company was supposed to launch on April 3, 2023. Everything seems to have gone according to plan for the company, whether the schedule went perfectly, which can only mean good things for the future for Nintendo and DeNA.
