The developers of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum say they have studied the works and notes of JRR Tolkien in depth. A new dev log entry provides more information about your work.
Developers Daedalic Entertainment have released a Movie Development Diary entry (below) detailing how they approached JRR Tolkien’s legacy while working on The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. The developers claim that they prepared themselves very well for their task, not only by carefully reading the writer’s works and watching the films based on them, but also by immersing themselves in the notes and letters written by Tolkien.
In a video available on YouTube they talk about how they filled out the universe with places and characters that were only mentioned in the original story. The images also give an idea of the gameplay footage, though we’ve been able to see most of it in previous trailers (particularly the one shown Thursday during the Nacon Connect event).
Lord of the Rings: Gollum is a stealth game in which we will assume the role of one of the most colorful characters in the works of JRR Tolkien, the titular Gollum, a hobbit deformed by the effects of the One Ring. The title will be coming to PC, as well as eighth and ninth generation consoles. Unfortunately, We do not yet know the exact release date of the game; we only know that it will (hopefully) happen this year..
