A big leap in time is getting closer and closer to Boruto. This anime released years ago promised fans a fast forward, so when we saw Boruto Uzumaki fight for the future of the hidden village, some theories have been created.
The boy seemed like a real far cry from anything we’ve seen so far, since now his outfit had changed and the twisted scar over his eye was a recognizable mark, but hey, now we know how Boruto got hurt.
This week, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations released an update with chapter 78, and that’s where fans checked on Boruto when the ninja found out about his parents’ sudden disappearance, so it didn’t take long for him to realize that Kawaki was behind it the ordeal was when Boruto got his scar.
As many have guessed, it was Kawaki who gave this scar to Boruto, but it wasn’t like we all thought, since the cup wasn’t given during a battle and, even, it wasn’t even meant for Boruto, that is- i.e. the ninja willingly took the wound to save Boruto Sarada of receiving a deathblow from Kawaki, so while saving her, he sacrificed an eye to save his friend.
Boruto, remains calm until his parasite Otsutsuki forces him out of his body. Now the question remains how Boruto and the Hidden Village will move forward now that Naruto has been sealed. Coded and Kawaki have been a great pain to the village, and with his own ever-changing fate, it will be up to Boruto to become strong enough to hold the house his father is sworn to protect.
Now, as to when Boruto tackles his long-awaited time jump, we’ll have to wait even longer as Kawaki is out of town while Code is gathering an army with the help of the Ten-Tailed Beast. Things look bleak for the village now that Naruto has been sealed away, but he still has a few ninjas to back him up, so Konoha will have to endure his absence to stay safe, where it’s likely that Sasuke take Boruto on a training mission soon.
