This map is brought to you by modding group The Floo Network, the team behind this gigantic and extremely impressive creation have announced the release of the Hogwarts Minecraft map on Planet Minecraft. “Hello everyone! Get your chopsticks ready! We’re finally launching our newest map; An Interactive RPG in Vanilla Minecraft!” the post announces, along with the reveal of its new “Download Trailer”, which you can check out below.
The creation’s humble name, “Witchcraft and Wizardry: The Floo Network,” doesn’t do justice to what it brings to the game. As you can see in the clip below, just about every iconic feature of Hogwarts and the world of the Harry Potter books are faithfully represented, brick by brick. There are shots of the vast labyrinthine network of hallways, dungeons, classrooms and towers of Hogwarts, populated with puzzles, annoyances and, ultimately, the magic of the show’s universe. Unfortunately, we’re pretty sure there isn’t a Hogwarts Minecraft seed that will magically produce a replica, so if you want to explore the halls of Hogwarts, here’s how to get the most out of it. How to Get the Hogwarts Map in Minecraft
If you want to dive into The Floo Network Hogwarts Minecraft Map, you can find it for download on Planet Minecraft. It should be noted that the creators inform that Witchcraft and Wizardry currently only works for the Java edition of Minecraft (versions 1.16 to 1.16.4).
If you are using Bedrock Edition which is available for PC, you will not be able to play this version.
Features of Harry Potter Minecraft
So where exactly can you go on this Hogwarts Minecraft map? You can explore the quaint suburban street of Privet Drive, as well as the entirety of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Upon entering its chambers, you can find a huge banquet filled with delicious food and magically hanging candles. There are also the many hallways and staircases, decorated with paintings of famous students from the school’s history, and a library lined with towering bookshelves.
It’s not just a map either, as you can cast spells with your magic wand, explore dungeons with magic-based challenges, shop with friends in Diagon Alley, or even encounter fantastical beasts like the Cornish Pixies or the terrifying Dementors. You can even play Quidditch!
The map has been updated to include a full RPG story, with all the Harry Potter trappings you could hope for. Everything from buying your first wand, textbooks and robes in Diagon Alley to your first flying lesson at Hogwarts. We won’t spoil any of the big story surprises, but let’s just say that you may need to cast a Patronus Charm to ward off potential villains lurking in the dark…
Even better, on the grounds of Minecraft Hogwarts, you can find everyone’s favorite half-giant, Hagrid, tending to his ranger duties. “Thank you so much for your support and kind words throughout this project,” the creators say on the mod’s Discord server. “This map took us years to complete and without your love and support we never would have come this far. We are happy to finally share the complete map with you!
